After teaching martial arts for six decades, and creating the Hakko Denshin Ryu Ju Jutsu Federation twenty-five years ago, Soke LaMonica will not be actively directing the Hakko Denshin Ryu Ju Jutsu Federation for North America.
Menkyo Kaiden Shihan San Dai Kichu Scott Evans will be taking over as Technical Director for the Hakko Denshin Ryu Ju Jutsu Federation for North America. Shihan Evans began in Hakko Ryu at the Eighth Light Dojo in 1995 under Soke LaMonica. In 2004, with the endorsement of Soke LaMonica, Shihan Evans opened Koyama Dojo in Michigan and has been teaching actively ever since. He is looking forward to working with practitioners to advance and grow the Art through the principles of Technical Excellence, Fellowship and Tradition.
Nidai Soke Antonio Garcia will be advising Shihan Evans during this transition time. We are grateful to Soke Garcia for his expertise, support and enduring friendship.
